Connetrix Manager client installation on Windows 7
Hi,
We have some old brocade switches that we still manage. I recently got a new laptop that has Windows 7 installed on it. The Connetrix Manager 9.1 client hangs during the installation. I changed the properties of the client install program to run in Winodws XP compatibilty mode. It didn't help, as it still hangs during the installation.
Has anyone been in this situation before? If so, what did you do to get around it?
Thanks,
Jim

I was able to get this installed by running the client installation in compatibility mode, which I didn't know was an option in Windows 7. Click on properties of the downloaded executable (emcClientInstall), click on the compability tab and choose Windows 2000 (note, Windows XP did not work). Execute the installation script after you change the compatibility and you're on your way.
