Brocade Configupload Stopped Working after FOS Update to V9.2.0b
Hello. Have anybody faced this issue observed after the Brocade FOS Update to version: v9.2.0b.
configUpload not permitted (ftp failed). Usage error.
Terminated
Note, that supportsave to same ftp works fine, and I guess supportsave and configupload works with same mechanism. Tried two different FTP Servers, of different vendors, still same observation: configuload fails, supportsave works fine. Any clues, and solutions.
Are insecure protocols are now no longer supported, so need to use SFTP or SCP. And, does for that we need to open Port 22 between each switch and the FTP/SFTP/SCP Server.

@DELL-Sam L Hi. It looks like indeed insecure protocols are now no longer supported, atleast for configupload. Supportsave download is still working with insecure protocol ftp. Configupload not. And, configupload now works with sftp. Only difference when I was earlier trying sftp was I was using 'anonymous' user with sftp (as per the screenshot above earlier). But when I use a actual user with password, it works with sftp.
configupload -all -p sftp -P 22 10.X.X.XX,newuser,/Users/newuser/backup.cfg,newuserpassword

Hi. Thanks for the link. But this is not the case here. Remember supportsave works fine. configupload fails.

Hello Bhuppi1,
The Brocade 9.2.0.b FOS update does not permit the use of the "configUpload" command. This restriction is likely due to a change in the firmware version that no longer supports the "configUpload" functionality. Without the ability to use the "configUpload" command, users will need to find an alternative method for backing up or analyzing their switch configurations. It is recommended to consult the Brocade documentation or contact Brocade support for further information on alternative methods for backing up or analyzing switch configurations in the Brocade 9.2.0.b FOS update.

@DELL-Sam L Hi. Where do you got that 9.2.0.b doesn't permit the use of the 'configupload'. I don't think so. Is it documented anywhere on stone. I have not seen that in the release notes of the 9.2.0.b. Thanks

@DELL-Sam L Hi. These are DCX X6-8 Gen-6 Directors. Edges are DS6620. All have this configupload issue after FOS update to 9.2.0b. Supportsave works fine. Thanks

Hello Bhuppi1,
It is best to open a support case with phone support, as they will need to look into seeing why all your switches are doing the same thing since the FOS update.
