Upgrading to ESXi 6.5 with SCv2080

Hello All,

I have a new pair of PowerEdge R730 directly connected over the SAS HBAs to a SCv2080.

The servers were shipped with ESXi 6.0  I need to upgrade them to 6.5. 

The Dell tech who did the remote deployment of the SAN config mentioned something about holding off until something was officially supported.   Does anyone have any experience upgrading in this scenario? 

I have plenty of experience upgrading PEs with just the stock ESXi ISO, never had a problem with it, but that was with a different SAN. This is my first Dell SAN and I'm approaching it tentatively. :)  Any recommendations are appreciated.
