Storage Center 6 upgrade procedures?

Does anyone have a link to documentation on the upgrade procedures for Storage Center 6? I cannot currently log in to the customer portal.

Thanks!

The firmware upgrade process is fairly simple. When you decide that you want to update your system to a new level of Storage Code, the process is:

1.       Call or email copilot the day you plan on doing the upgrade.

2.       Open up secure Console for one of our engineers

3.       One of the Copilots will log into the system and perform a series of System checks on the system to make sure it is healthy for the upgrade

4.       Once the system is cleared for the upgrade the Rule will be released

5.       The engineer will then contact you via Email or Phone and let you know the system is good to go and the rule is available for downloading

6.       You log into the Storage GUI and do select System>Update>check for updates

7.       Once the updates are downloaded you will be prompted with a screen to apply the updates

8.       Select the type that you want: if you have not tested failover on the system please set this up during a maintenance window. If you have tested failover you can select Non-Service affecting or the Storage center only option. If the enclosures need to be updated with firmware you will see these options also but these will cause a system outage. I will say this again Updating the Disk firmware WILL CAUSE AN OUTAGE

9.       Once the update is applied the system will restart each controller independently; first the leader and then the peer.

10.   After the system has performed the update please call or email into Copilot and we will perform the post System checks to the system and then give you the all clear.

Also, there are a few requirements for SCOS 6:

• Series 40 controllers ONLY

• IF system was upgraded VIA CD you will need to use the CD upgrade process again.

• If using CompCU, MUST upgrade CompCU prior to upgrading SCOS

If you meet these, we can proceed with the upgrade.  Please allow secure console access at your convenience and let us know when you would like to upgrade.  Also, please confirm the SSN’s of the system to upgrade.

Let me know if you have any questions.
