SCv3020 with addition SCv320 Disk size
Hi All,
I'm new to storage.
SCv3020 had been running with a 30x 600GB disk for quite some time. I saw the total capacity shown roughly 16TB.
If we purchase expansion storage SCv320 with an additional 12x 600GB disk.
What will be the new storage capacity?
How should i calculate it?
Look forward to some advice.

A 600GB Disk will offer ~550GB of available space. So with 12x550GB you'll get 6600GB or 6.4TB addiditonal space.
.... with a total of 42Disks ig may be possible that the SCOS add another (max.)550GB to the spare capacity. Keep in mind that the spare capacity depends on the number of disks and disk types and on the actual space usage on your disks. The space capacity will be distributed over all of your disks... some will reserve a little bit more... other a little bit less.
From your screenshot... which hides some important things i assume that you use a RAID6-10 only because all volumes are manged by your custom Storage Profile. This means from the 6600 - 1xSpace = 6050GB you can only use 80% because of the double redundancy you have set for your Tier1 storage. This means ~4840GB.
If you use Snapshots things will be change in the same way as when you enable compression on your volumes and configure to compress all Pages and not only freezed ones.
