scv3020 array decrypt process?

Have one of these units and an expansion array.  They've been encrypted and are talking to a KMS, no problems there.

I've recently discovered an issue with the KMS deploy that may require a rebuild.  There's a lot of work that could be lost if this goes sideways in regards to losing keys and/or comms to the KMS.  Last thing I want is a lot of nerds angry with me for losing data.

I'm trying to be as safe as possible for this issue until the KMS issue is resolved, so am opting to decrypt everything that uses this KMS.  So far, so good, but I'm coming up empty for anything regarding how to disable/decrypt the storage on these Compellent Arrays.

Anyone have any pointers or know of any docs out there for this process?

Hello chopper,

Here is the link to Using Self-Encrypting Drives (SEDs) with Dell EMC SC Series Storage, & if you look on page 38 it explains how to make the changes to KMS & SC.

Thank you for the reply on this!  I had scanned through that doc prior, but didn't think that section applied to my situation.

Did end up getting this resolved, without decrypting.  I was able to stand up a new KMS cluster, import the previous keys and verified that the disk array and KMS were communicating/exchanging keys and able to unlock the drives without issue.  Whew!
