SCv3000 shrink volume
Hi,
is it possible to shrink a volume on an SCv3000?
I couldn't find an option in the storage manager client or the java command utility.
Best regards

Not in the way you think about.
The Compellent volumes are thinprovisioning from default and only consume capacity when the host writes data into the volume. If a hosts deletes data the Compellent needs some support from the GuestOS or the Admin to identify the blocks which are not needed any more and to reduce amount of storage for that volume.
I talk about the "scsi unmap" feature of a modern Windows OS or vSphere ESXi.
