SCv2020 drops all essential disks after factory reset

Hello.

We have purchaced two SCv2020 systems with some expansions, and we wanted to get them to minimum configuration of 7 spinning disks, and when i ran the procedure to get all but the 7 essential disks out of the systems, and then went on to factory reset the systems from the GUI, they both dropped all essential disks, and is now unusable.

They both go into the:
"Missing essential disks (x,x,x,x,x)
All essential disks are missing rebooting in 180 seconds unless disks are found"

Logging in with the previous Admin password is not possible, neither is default Admin (mmm)  user / password.
Only user i am able to log in with is the __safemode__ user, and here when i try to run "disk show", i don't get ANY disks showing up.

Running the command to factory reset system again is not possible either, as the system is not fully initialized.

Any help regarding how to fix the systems would be much appreciated :)

Kind regards Frederik :)

FEN_Inside_Systems,

With having removed the base image you would need an image from support to reinstall. So your only real option is to call into support for assitance in recovering.

Let me know if this helps.

Hello Chris.

That's the thing, i did not remove base image, as the SCv's have the option to factory reset the system from GUI, and with other systems as the SCv3020, it keeps base image, and the licenses.

So it's really odd to me why it should break when it's a core feature of the SCv's to factory reset them without any hazzle :)

Kind regards Frederik :)

That is true, but I think something else happened as well. Would you let me know the SCOS version that the system was at before the reimage as i bet it was an older version of SCOS, which may also have caused issues as well? Maintaining the warranty on the system ensures that if this was to occur then we would be able to restore it for you.

Hello again, i do believe it was SCOS 7.4. something, i don't have the systems powered atm, and will go on a extended weekend in one hour :)

So yes it's a bit old, but not too old :)

Hello again.

Back from extended weekend leave, and just powered the system on again.

Logging in to the system with the __safemode__ user reveals that the SCOS version is 7.4.21 :)
So according to my knowledge, that is not exactly the newest firmware, but still pretty new :)
Attached are photo of the output from "controller show"

Kind regards Frederik :)
