SC8000 Stuck raid rebalance
Hi
I have an SC8000 i have a set of 15K disks i want to release but i cant, it just stays at releasing and never releases them.
I also recently added a foreign disk from a diffrent SC8000 without releasing the disk first. It showed up as managedForeign i set it to unmanaged with CLI and assigned it normally afterwards, only wierd thing is just goes in as spare even tho the same enclosure had two broken disks.
I have tried to rebalance raid but thats just stuck on 0% and been so for 24 hous. I know there have been some bugs with rebalancing before where you have to get support in to fix it. but since i dont have support anymore, is there somthing i can do myself?

Hello @CC2407,
By my experience, It would be difficult to be able to do something without checking the logs. When having a situation like this with several failed disks, a rebalance process ongoing and already tried to set a disk as spare but not taking the role... I don't think there is anything you can do at this point without contacting support.
Is your SCOS version is up-to-date. If you are having a very old version you might have this kind of issues.

Im at SCOS 7.2.51.
When i assigned the disk back to managed, disk automatically went to spare, even tho i had a multi disk failiure in that enclosure aswell as when i added the disk it automatically started RAID-Rebalancing wich still stays at 0% after 2 days.
I know earlier there have been some background proccesses that is hanging stopping it from starting tasks like disk release and raid rebalance, and we have gotten help from support before. but since SC8000 is end of life its kinda hard to get support.
