Hello,

This alert typically refers to the disk folder or system partition on the SC4020 that hosts the Dell Storage Manager (DSM) or related management services. When this partition fills up, it can prevent DSM from functioning properly or cause the system to enter Conservation Mode or Emergency Mode.

Recommended Actions (per Dell KB Article 000121313) [1]:

  1. Empty the Recycle Bin:
    • Go to DSM > Storage > Recycle Bin and permanently delete any volumes or snapshots.

  1. Use SCSI UNMAP or Dell Storage Manager Server Agent:
    • These tools help reclaim unused space from deleted files on connected hosts.

  1. Reduce Snapshot Retention:
    • Lower the number of retained snapshots or delete expired ones.

  1. Move Volumes:
    • If possible, move volumes from the affected disk folder to another with more available space.

  1. Delete Test or Unused Volumes:
    • Remove any non-critical or test volumes to free up capacity.

  1. Contact Dell Support directly:
    • If the above steps don’t resolve the issue, Dell recommends contacting support directly for deeper analysis.

upgrade capacity or delete to release capacity is the only way.
