sc4020 Error creating a mapping profile

Hi, I have a strange error on one of our sc4020's. Two of the volumes in a server cluster (a compellent cluster) are showing errors. When I try to fix by manually editing the volume mapping, I get the error "Error creating a mapping profile. See logs for further details." The log just shows (to my untutored eye) repeats of the message in different formats - "Failure Mapping: Mapping profile request" and "Object modification failed by user".

The only event that occurred on the array recently was the Data Collector was accidentally deleted, so this was reinstalled and the arrays reconnected. Could this event have caused this?

Whatever has caused this, can anyone suggest a fix?

Cheers Tim

The reinstallation of the Data Collector should not have caused this issue. Are either of the volumes Virtual Volumes? If they are then the deletion of the Data Collector could have caused this. If not then are they part of a Live Volume configuration? It would be best to contact support to access your system and determine the cause.

Thanks for the response. Solved it by deleting and recreating the relevant volumes.
