SC3020 add host manually
Hi there,
We are looking for a way to add the host "web1.compellent.com" directly in a configuration file. Our DNS can't (and won't ) resolve "web1.compellent.com". So is there a way (like any system) to add "web1.compellent.com" ==> 76.164.8.136?
Thank you

To be precise, is there a way to edit /etc/hosts like any OS?
Thanks

Hello SC3020,
There is not a way to edit the configuration file of an SCv3020 without support doing so. Your DNS should be able to resolve your host. Have you tried adding an exception on your DNS for your host address? The SCOS is a custom OS that can’t be changed by a customer. If a customer tries to change the OS it is going to ask for a password that is only used by Dell technical support.
Please let us know if you have any other questions.

Hi,
Sadly what you propose is impossible. So we have to live with it i suppose.
