SC to PS series replication network configuration
We have an SC 3020 with the volume we need to replicate to a PS series at a remote site. Are there any network configuration best practices available? I do not see any on Dell site but perhaps I have missed them. As well does it fit within best practices to configure the iSCSI switches with two separate VLANs one for each fault domain as that facilitates trunking to the local core stack and routing to the remote site. In this scenario the Compellent connected ports and VMware host connected ports would all be configured untagged in their respective VLANs with the trunk tagging packets for both VLANs. Our storage network is configured as per the Compellent installation guide with each fault domain occupying both switches. When changing VLANs obviously we will lose connectivity from a single switch briefly. Not being very familiar with the Compellent would any of the volumes disconnect from connected hosts? I would assume not but the Compellent's binding volumes to controllers makes that a little unclear to me. Thank you.
