Old SC5020

Hi

I have an old decomissioned 5020 - but it has secure folder  / security locked drives ...

I have limited access back to the KMS to be able to boot it back up.  Although once started it now says its not connected.  all good all drives are unlocked.

I have deleted all of the volumes

My aim is to

1) unlock all of the drives - so i can put them in to other devices if needed

2) re use the sc without using secure folder, or I can build a openkms server and point it there - really don't want to but.

So how I can unlock the drive - how can I remove them from 1 folder and place them into another folder without the security flag installed.

or just so I can remove the link back to the kms rekey them, do I just change the ip address of the KMS and then ask it to rekey ?

Or i guess lass resort how can I place it into another server and secure wipe the drive - I think that unlocks it as well. I tried it in an old d630/720 and the perc will not secure wipe it nor present it to the os

Hi,

For Compellent drives, you can only use it on Compellent as it has storage firmware which cannot be used on other systems, vise versa too. I don't think there is other way that not to use the KMS server to remove the secured drives.
