New disks shown as external drives - SCv2020
Hello,
We have bought new disks via a Dell distributor, but when we insert them they appear as external devices and have a licensing issue.
Could you let us know if the disks are compatible?
Here is one of the existing (working) disks:

Your existing disk is a 12Gbit SAS disk.... and your "new" one a 6Gbit one. I have my doubt that this is a certified one for a SCv2020. Is this one disk coming from a SC40 or so?

The new disk looked brand new (sealed as should), it was not from another server.
1. Correct, the new disk has a different SAS, but can this difference in SAS value alone, be the reason for Storage Center to mark the new disk as 'ineligible for licensing' ?
2. The old disk has Product ID ST600MP0006 which is truly listed as compatible, in the following list:
https://dl.dell.com/topics/pdf/sc-drivefw2020-rn_en-us.pdf?dgc=SM&cid=243896&lid=spr3500320876&linkId=94133161
The new disk's Product ID (AL13SXB60EN) is not listed here, however.
Is there a more correct/updated list that I should be checking?
Thanks,
Anastasia
