moving volumes from storage controller 2 to controller 1
Hi guys,
I want to move some volumes across to the other controller to redistribute some space, as everything on controller 2 is looking full.
What is the best way to move them across, so the data is on the controller 1 disks?

There are 2 ways for this inquiry:
1. Replicate license so you can replicate some volume from Compellent 2 to Compellent 1, then delete it on Compellent 2 to free up some space.
2. Choose 1 volume on Compellent 2 which should be move to free up the space - we call it as volumeA. Create some volumes on Compellent 1, mount it to a server (which has the volumeA). Do the data copy from volumeA to new volume (OS level copy). Delete the volumeA on Compellent 2.
You also can Expire the Replay, Delete any un-use volume on Compellent 2.

Controller 2:
