Lun mapping on different Vmware cluster
Good Morning all,
We have a Dell Compellent scv3020 Storage Manage 2019 R1 20 and currently we have a cluster with our Dell Esx in Version 6.5. All our datastores are in VMFS6. We want to add another cluster which will contain 2 Esx Lenevo in version 7.
I would like to know if there is a real danger in mapping the luns on the 2 clusters at the same time? With VMFS6, it bars the datastore for reading, which can prevent data corruption.
Some people tell me that there is a great risk of data corruption and others tell me that there is no risk of corruption.
For my part, I carried out a mapping test with a Lun that I created and with another that contains a datastore of a test VM and everything seems to work well without problem.
Thank you.

Hi,
It isn’t a validated configuration in the deployment guide. https://dell.to/3HpBtgq But it probably will work fine, https://dell.to/3BPGZbf
