How to delete a snapshot from a volume on a shelf SC 4020
Hello
The SС 4020 shelf has run out of space on SSD drives
We had a daily snapshot on volumes, but after the place ran out, we decided to remove the implementation of snapshots on some volumes
Several days have passed since snapshots were turned off on some accounts, and the snapshots have expired.
The question is, how do they delete themselves? Or do they need to be removed manually so that they don’t take up space?

Hello,
Firstly verify that the snapshots you are deleting are indeed expired and not required for any future rollback.
When you expire a snapshot, you are deleting it. By expiring your oldest snapshots first, your data will remain intact. You can set up a snapshot profile to automatically expire your older snapshots on a daily basis. pg 131 Dell Storage Manager 2020 R1 Administrator's Guide
Hope that helps!

I had a profile configured for snapshots that ran every 25 hours.
So, as the space began to run out, I turned off the profile with snapshots from the test volumes.
How can I understand that my snapshot has been deleted and space has become free?
Now I have it like this

Please be aware that tasks such as Administration, Configuration, Optimization, and Maintenance are not covered under Warranty Technical Support Services. It is highly advised against deleting snapshots independently, as this could result in the corruption of all storage data. Additionally, we do not support any form of direct data deletion. Such deletions require high-level approval. For further assistance, please contact your support team.
