Disk has only one path to device
Trying to configure SCV2020... first one so bear with me as usually we've used equalogics.
I have every disk in the array showing "Disk has only one path to device" and i'm not sure why.
I have configured it via the wizard and created the 2 ISCSI fault domains as requested. All IP4 address must be in the same subnet it says, so I have configured them as follows:
FD1:
Target - 172.28.0.101
Top controller Port 1 - 172.28.1.12
Top controller Port 3 - 172.28.1.14
Bottom controller Port 1 - 172.28.0.12
Bottom controller Port 3 - 172.28.0.14
Does this look right? They all connect to a single switch as this is a cut down test environment. Will be stacked for prod environment.
Any ideas why I keep getting this warning on the disks?
FD2:
Target - 172.28.1.101
Top controller Port 2 - 172.28.1.11
Top controller Port 4 - 172.28.1.13
Bottom controller Port 2 - 172.28.0.11
Bottom controller Port 4 - 172.28.0.13

There is no embedded Fault domain configured?
Is it because of the single switch that is in use?

Hello blomoff,
Here is the link to the Deployment guide. https://topics-cdn.dell.com/pdf/storage-sc2000_deployment-guide_en-us.pdf If you look on page 46-48 it shows you how you want to cable your SCv2020 when using a single switch.
If you look on DSM are there any I/O module status showing a red status or being down? If you have follow the Red indicator icons to find the down port. Verify that the port is configured as Front End or Back End, and if this is not configured, then you can go to Configure Local Ports page: Storage Management Setup Configure Local Ports.
Please let us know if you have any other questions.

I am fairly new to the product also but after looking a little more at the admin manual and the setup i found that I had not completed all the setup steps. What you might still need to so is to cross connect the two controllers with the SAS cables that were supplied with the unit. From the Dell Storage Center SCv2000 and SCv2020 Storage System Deployment Guide there is a section that is titled Back-End Connections for an SCv2000/SCv2020 Storage System Without Expansion Enclosures" which goes over cross connecting the two controllers on the back with the SAS cables (basically connect Top Controller Port A to Bottom Controller Port B and vice versa.
Hope this helps.
