Dell Storage Manager 20.1.2.14 upgrade Fail
Hello
I'm upgrading DC(Data Collector) and Clients on Windows server.
But there are some problems.
We were originally using the DSM version of 19.1.20.30, and we tried to upgrade to log4j path.
(19.1.20.30 -> 20.1.2.14)
However, the following error occurred even before the upgrade process started.
I've tried installing it on several sites in the same environment, but some have succeeded, and some have errors like that picture.
May I know how to solve this problem?
I really ask of you
Additionally, I tried this kind of work.
1. Proceed with upgrade / Proceed with upgrade file administrator authority.
2. File upgrade / Data collector client installation.
3. File file, $appdata$\component File.
4. Delete files uploaded to each country in Korea, download them locally, and reinstall them.
5. Register Windows installer / again.
a. Msiexec.exe / Unregister.
b. This is msiexec.exe/regserver.
6. Restart the Windows installer service.
7. Reboot the window server.
Thank you

Hello josh
Workaround is known as a short-term solution when using the previous version as it is without upgrading.
But our customer wants to upgrade.
That's why I tried to upgrade, and it's an issue that I don't know even though I put an inquiry into Dell.

Hello @Ji-hoon,
I understand you need to update and a workaround is a temporay solution. However, this article that my colleague shared is from 2nd February. So that means is from last week.
We can expect a solution that is not a workaround but it should take some time.
Regards.

Hi Lopez
I checked the link that your colleague sent me.
But the only thing revised on February 3rd is Qualifying States added.
There's a word like this up there. "The workaround is a short-term mitigation"
And my client wanted a perfect solution and wanted to upgrade the version.
Workaround is just a temporary measure.
So there's no solution?
They opened the case to Dell in Korea and Poland, but they said they didn't know either.
Is there no way to solve this error?
Have you ever seen a problem like this in any country?

I was not able to find any known issue, if they have opened cases with support they should ask for it to be escalated.
