DELL SCv100 disk bad region

Hello speesrl,

Do you have any hot spare drives configured?  In most cases when you get this error a drive is either surveying or rebuilding a drive.  Did you just receive this error or has the error be present for some time?

I have only one spare configured and now i have always the alert. Yesterday the volume contained in this enclosure goes in emergency mode and the folder from external server is unreachable. 

Can i try to expire manual snapshot or we risk to lost data contained in the volume?

Also I have already ordered the new disk.

Hello speesrl,

You can expire manual snapshots and that will give you some free space.  If system is still in emergency mode, then I would contact support so that they can look into the issue.
