DELL DSM/Unisphere Central - multiple users and arrays
Hi all,
Does anyone know how to configure the DSM/Unisphere central so that a bunch of arrays/storage centers can be added that are shared across multiple engineers accounts?
It seems strange that each user would have to manually add each SC for their own account. Surely this is the whole point of a central management tool? E.g. in VMware vCenter, each user doesn't have to add every host for their own account.
Is there a way to do this or is it a limitation by design?
Any help would be much appreciated.
Cheers,
Ben

Hello Ben,
There is not a way to do add a bunch of users so that they can all access your SC. in previous versions you could create a user group in data collector, however that option has been removed.
Please let us know if you have any other questions.

Hi Sam,
Thanks for your reply!
Wow, that seems like a huge limitation for large environments. I have about eight engineers that will eventually use UC to manage at least six remote arrays, but long term could be over 30 remote arrays.
Is this on the roadmap to be changed? It feels very SMB-centric, and not enterprise focused.
Cheers,
Ben
