Dell Compellent SC4020 System is starting up

Hi

I have a storage sc4020. After having restored all the configurations to the factory, I have reconfigured them but when I try to access the storage center through the browser it only shows me: system is starting up and I cannot log in. That could be happening?

I also proceeded to turn off the equipment and remove the batteries and after 20 minutes put them back and turn it on again, but it still remains the same

Hook up a serial (115200, 8,1,N) and see whats going on.

Depending on SCOS version and how it was purged you need to install it on the command line or with the help of DSM.
I hope you have your LIC file around.

Regards,
Joerg

DSM is the Dell Storage Manager for a Compellent. Its a Windows(Linux) GUI Progamm to setup/manage a SC.

You can download it without registration from dell.com/support.

But again... .SCOS coming a long road and depends on the version of your SCOS the setup was completly different in the past.

Again... hook up the serial connection and watch the controller booting to find out the existing stage.

Joerg
