CT-SC4020 - Snapshot Question
Hello everyone, 1st time using the forum. I am facing an issue (it might be minor, but i don't have active support) and I am hoping to find help here. I have a CT-SC4020 unit and one of my configured Volumes (VMware RDM) is giving me the following message;
"Alert created on controller '76232' for object [internal ref: 'Assigned'] - [PercentFull]: Disk Folder Assigned has 7 percent or less space remaining available" i went into the interface".
I went into management and when i click on the volume i see snapshots, if i right click on the oldest one, i get an option to "Expire". If i select this option and expire does anyone know if I would cause any issues to the data? will it disconnect or mess anything up on the server? this drive is the log file drive for our production sql server.
Thank you for reading my post and any input, help would be appreciated.

Hello PV_1105,
When you expire a snapshot you are deleting the snapshot. If you expire your oldest snapshots first, your data will still be intact. You can create a snapshot profile so that it expires your older snapshot on a daily basis. Here is the link to the Administrator guide and if you look on page 127 it explains how to configure a profile. https://dell.to/3dOIIkn
