Compellent SC8000 license

Hi there,

We've reset SC8000 but now the original license key is not compatible/invalid with the current code is running on the unit. Version 7.2.4 was running on SC8000 and probably the original key was based on 6.x. As the unit is out of warranty is there any way to request a new license key that is generated based on version 7.x?

Would you be able to message me the service tag or system serial number? I don't want to promise anything up front, but if you can send me that piece of information, I can at least try to get a license issued.

Did you reset your SC8000 back to factory?  If so then do you have your old license key?

yes we have done the reset to factory.  And yes, we have the  old license key.

Hi, we have a similar issue, the customer made a factory reset and they dont find the license file, this compellent is out of support but the customer wants use the storage.

Can you Help ?
