Compellent NFS User Authentication

I have nfs users that authenticate from an Active Directory server and others that authenticate from a NIS server. The problem we have is that some files on the compellent show the NIS uids rather than the names and the others show the AD uid. Is there a way to get them to combine? I tried mapping the names, but it didn't change anything.

Hello Russ2018,

Which SC do you have as you didn’t state that in your post.  What is the current SCOS version that is running on your SC as well?

Please let us know if you have any other questions.

If you are trying to do this on a FluidFS cluster follow the steps on page 552 of the of the Dell Storage Manager 2016 R3 Administrator’s Guide: Managing User Mappings Between Windows and UNIX/Linux Users
https://topics-cdn.dell.com/pdf/storage-sc2000_administrator-guide_en-us.pdf

Or are you trying to configure this in your Dell SC or Dell Storage Manager? If you are what specific versions are you currently using?
