Cant connect to console on PowerConnect 6224 Switch

I have tried connecting via IP adress, but alas I cannot find it (either with pinging for it or searching with MAC address). I also tried connecting to the console directly using a Serial-USB connection, but upon boot up, there is no reaction in the terminal and I did try hitting enter twice. Is there anything else I should try?
