Where do I get "expansion enabler" for AX4-5i
Last year we upgraded our storage. I am just now needing to expand and use the new storage. I was wanting to do it this weekend from home. The problem is when I attempt to expand the storage I get the following error: Can not create raid group:You cannot use disk drives in a Disk Array Enclosure without an Expansion Enabler.
I know I have payed for all the needed licenses, so I guess I need to install this "Expansion Enabler" I am sure any CD that came in the box, is piled in some closet someplace. Where can I download this from? I have searched the site after I logged in to my portal and I don't seem to get any results.
Any and all advice would be helpful.

You might have to get in touch with your local EMC team or contact EMC support with a purchase numbers or something of that nature so they can verify your purchase.

O that stinks. So EMC is not like VMWare and Microsoft where you just log into the website portal and click on download to download items and keys as needed?
Thanks,
Bobby

for some items you can obtains keys from EMC website directly (for example capacity licenses for VMAX, feature enabling keys for Cisco MDS switches ..etc). Then you have software downloads that are available if your array is registered in EMC system but typically those are upgrade packages, items that do not require to be purchased. That's been my experience, maybe things changed lately. If you provide support with a purchase order # they will be able to look it up and see if you are entitled and provide you a way to get the software.
