Using NaviSphere Manager with an AX4-5
I have an AX4-5 that is fully upgraded with flare bundle 2.23.050.5.711 and clearly shows that NS Express is inactive and that NaviSphere Manager is active. How to I get a copy of this ? Everyone keeps telling me to use UNIsphere Manager but that is only used to manage the enclosure and verify that there are no software or hardware errors but not the storage configuration itself.
Any help would be appreciated .
Thanks

Have you installed the Navisphere Manager Enabler? If you don't want to use Navisphere Manager, you can deinstall it and install the Navisphere Express Enabler. Please refer to "How to restore Navisphere Express after Navisphere Manager was installed on a AX4-5 storage system" https://support.emc.com/kb/11373

Storage functions should work even with Navisphere manager also.
Roger : This primus is not open for customers I believe.

To use the Navisphere that is on the AX4, you need to open a browser (IE 6 or 8 works best) and have Java 1.6.30 installed on your PC. Type in the address bar the IP address for the AX4. This will load the Navisphere GUI in the browser.
When the interface comes up, you'll need to log in. If you get a java warning about security, click the "no" answer.
HELP is part of the GUI if you need help navigating the interface.
