Unisphere host agent for CentOS?
Im running Unisphere GUI from a CX4 array, and it's indicating all my hosts are un-managed.
I think I need a host-agent process to be loaded on the client machines, does anyone know where to find this host-agent?
The OS is CentOS 6 x64.

I found and installed the host agent, ran "service hostagent start", but the CX array still sais it cannot communicate with the host agent.
/etc/Unisphere/agent.config:
clarDescr Navisphere Agent
clarContact John Smith, 800-555-1212
device auto auto
user root
poll 60
eventlog 100
baud 9600

I generated the DOC, but it asks me to run programs which don't exist on the server.
For example, there is no "/opt" filesystem to support the "serverutilcli" program, and I ran a search on the entire FS and could not locate this program.
Hmm, later on in the doc, I see a reference to page 20, which might be where the SW get's installed...

I would recommend that you generate an "Attach Server" guide on below site and follow the instructions to register your server to CX4:

To run serverutilcli you need to install Unisphere Server Utility first, it's another tool:
Unisphere Server Utility (Linux x64 only) 1.3.3.1.0072

The host can see the luns, and multipathing works. It's just that the Unisphere client is reporting the host with HVAT issues and being unmanaged. Im trying to correct this so that there are no "issues" being reported by Unisphere.

Can the host see the LUN or is it just the Unisphere that says unmanaged?

Ah !! That annoying little yellow exclamation. I dont like it either.
I tried searching for the Host agent, but following the post I understood that the host agent is installed to fix this and never worked.
Did unisphere server utility help?
Else do a reboot of the controllers and see if it works, else re-map the lun after installing the host agent.
It sounds stupid, but its worth a try.

See if KB 91644 helps - that is a list of the KB articles abot HAVT issues.
