SPS alert 0x7404
Hello,
For 2 days, we have a problem with SPS in our AX4-5F.
Please, see below error messages in Navisphere :
"The storage system's Standby Power Supplies (SPSs) are not working properly. (0x7404)"
"The storage system has disabled its write cache, most likely due to a hardware issue (shown as alerts on the Attention Required page). (0x720f)"
"Standby Power Supply A = Faulted"
All cables are properly connected. The SPS active LED is solid orange. The SPS battery led is off.
We tried to reboot the SPS but same problem.
What we have to do? Is it a problem of battery, cable, ... ?
Thanks in advance for your help.

There is a weekly battery test done by the unit, and the default day for that is Saturday. A good first guess would be that the battery failed the test. You could look in the event logs for evidence of that.
*If the unit is under maintenance, open a ticket with the service provider.*
If it is not, then I will offer the advice that I have purchased SPSs in the open market before and the replacement process isn't terribly difficult. If you end up doing this shopping I'd suggest that finding one described as new or rebuilt and with a warranty is better than just getting a used/pulled one that may be about to fail itself. It has been a while, but I believe I found a number of places that could provide a reasonable replacement for ~$400 or so.

You said you rebooted the SPS, did you wait a few minutes before powering it back on ?
You could also try and reseat the sense cable from the SP to the SPS.
Failing that,as Zaphod has suggested, you should consider replacing it (them) with refurb or second-hand, whatever your preference, budget or availability allows.

Hello,
I'm having the same issue with our AX4-5 and I wanted to know if this issue was solved. If so, what did you have to do? Purchase/replace the SPS? Thanks kindly.
