Server initiator problem
SAN shows an error "Server initiator no longer has an active connection to the storage system." thats ok because that server does not have the connection anymore. But how can I delete the error message from showing? I can't find any way to unregister the connection. Connection has been deleted from the FC switches (zoning configuration).
I'm using EMC Unisphere v1.0.52.1.0073.

And here's the connectivity status of the server in question.
(can't attach the picture anymore)
Well but there is no such item in Hosts.

you should be able to find the wwn under "Hosts" -> "Initiators" at the top and deregister it.

I mean that there is no "Initiators" in "Hosts".
I can see the connectifity status of that server. All paths are registered but there is no option to unregister them.

Ok. It didn't change anything. Page reloaded after I logged in engineering mode but no any additional options came available.

It asks a password. I don't know any engineering passwords.

Go to the Hosts, then on the right side, click on Initiators. Find the host and click the + button to see the initiators.
To de-register an initiator, the initiator must be logged off. In the screen below, you would select the initiator, then click on de-register. It would also be best to ensure that the initiator is not part of a Storage Group. In your screen capture, the Storage Group is listed as ~management, which means that the initiators are not connected to a Storage Group. Click the Refresh All button when done to see if the changes were applied.

Hello,
I have the same message on my EMC Unisphere, but it is about a SPARE server ...
that is "offline" for the moment, but could be start-up manually if the primary server crash.
Should this "Warnings" could be "deleted" (aknowledged) by a special way ?
see what I see in my EMC Unisphere interface :
in the Hosts-Initiators,
(=> view on both primary and secondary place ... I don't understand what it means)
and, about this SPARE Server named "FExxxxxx" :
an in the Host Connectivity Status :
than for your return to a EMC novice who want to understand everythink he see ;-)
