LUN replication for learning environments
Hi all,
I have one clariion cx4-240. I need to clone the LUN's that I have in my production environment to a remote system (other Clariion cx4-240) for learning pourposes.
For example:
One LUN, present as a RDM to a VM (MSQL) in production, must be cloned and present to an another VM (MSQL) in the learning environment. The LUN must be synchronized, at least, once at day.
1. To do this task, I must use SnapView Clone or Mirror?, I think that SnapView Clone is what I need.
2. this can be accomplished via scripting?
3. Is this the best way to do a learning/test environment with "storage-based" replications? (any document about storage-based replication will be helpful)
Thanks for your help.

to copy data between storage arrays you need to either MirrorView, SANCopy or Recover Point. Since you are using VMware, take a look at SRM and Replication Manager to tie all these technologies together.
