Lun migration with mirrorview/s (source and target)
Hi All!
We have 2 CX4 arrays with the same config. Both of them have classic raid groups. 1st has 4 LUNs. Those 4 luns has mirrorview/s sessions to the 2nd cx4 array. Now I`m about to add 1 DAE to each array and create POOL. I will need to migrate all LUNs to new DAE with new POOL, after that I will destroy old raidgroups and add disks to the new pool.
So i wonder if I can migrate source and target LUNs from the raid group to the pool without mirror destroy?
All actions will be perfomed on working system. I guess that migration will take about 24 hours, so i dont want to interrupt mirrorview sessions.

Ankit, thank you for the white paper!
Let me to answer my question by myself if somebody will serach the same information.
The migration at the same size LUN are allowed while wirrorview working.
For migration to larger LUN you should remove secondary image and destroy the mirror (if any write to the source LUN accur, ful sync will be required after the new mirror will be recreated)

There few rules when it comes to migration when Mirrorview/S is concerned.
I am not sure, after migrating it to thick pool LUN or thin pool lun. However, for your ready reference I am attaching M/V Knowledgebook. Please, refer to Page 24 and Page 25 for the rule table.

Thank you for sharing it here. I believe thats what table in Page 25 Explains, I just thought it would be best not to put it in lines that way users will take the effort to download that knowledgebook which is useful and informational as far as M//V Synchronous is concerned!
