I need the latest .pua for my CX3

Folks,

It seems the latest version of the FLARE for my CX3 is CX3-40-Bundle-03.26.040.5.032.pbu

Apparently this has recently disappeared from the public FTP site (before I managed to download it).

I am not sure why EMC would want to stop people upgrading to last supported version of their software, which seems unnecessarily petty.

In any case, this SAN is close to EOL for us, but I need to get it to the latest version for various reasons.

Can anyone do me a favour and point me at this file somewhere?

I still see it on support.emc.com in the Support by Product section - I looked at the Downloads for CX3 Ultrascale series

PS. You should have the CX3 registered with your PowerLink account - have you been able to see the pdu files in the pass?

I get 403 Access denied.

I am not sure why this happens. We had access before, then EMC EoLed the SAN and cut off access to the final software bundle. This happened before we got around to downloading and installing that bundle (obviously, installing this stuff needs long lead times and considerable disaster planning - EMCs assurances that "nothing will go wrong" not withstanding).

This SAN was originally purchased from Dell and Dell bounced us to EMC.

And EMC so far has basically said "FO you are not allowed to have the last update to the software bundle for your SAN any more because we can do that to you"

I think I need a "friendly" to help.

Did you get the latest FLARE software for your SAN?

I do also need the software so I hope that you can point me in the right direction

Were you able to get to the support.emc.com link that I posted? Is your array registered with EMC? Specifically the array software? As a registered users you should be able to see it (I can see it, but I'm inside so not sure what an outside user would see). What model CX3 do you have as there are specific bundles for each model?

You're right Glen.

If an array is registered and linked (via site) to the logged in user, the software is downloadable.

Otherwise, the link directs to a "Software Download Request Form".
