how can we calculate "Average busy queue length" of LUN?

How can we calculate "Average busy queue length" of LUN using CLI(naviseccli). We don't want to use unisphere analyzer as it impacts system performance.

You can set a higher interval for Unisphere Analyzer.

No. You can refer · Performance Analysis for Clariion and VNX – Part 1 by Rich for detailed information

Our team agreed on not to use unisphere analyzer.Any other solution?

Capturing statistics/data logging doesn't impact much on an array.

Are you running your arrays that close to the edge that the small increase will have an impact ?

FWIW, I have data logging running 24/7 on all my arrays.

Depending on the array model, running Data Logging will add a small amount of overhead (5%-10%).

This is dependent on the number of LUNs, the number of hosts, the number of disks.

If your array is a older CX, the larger the configuration of the array, the more overhead.

If you have a VNX, as the processors are more powerful, data logging should not be that much overhead.

If you already have Statistic Logging enabled most of the data collection is already accounted for.

Unless your array is running over 80% Utilized (and how can you tell without Statistics Logging enabled) Data Logging will not cause that much of a problem.

I'd recommend that you run a test - with Data Logging enabled and without it and see what impact that has on performance.
