Review your zoning and cabling.

Have you checked the Alias on your switches to make sure the alias has the right WWN of the ports?

If the WWN is grey-out inside your Alias/Zone you not gonna see anything from the storage side.

You can have zone but the cable is disconnected/broken or SFP might be dead.

Have you checked the SPF and Cables and switch port?

As long as the "Logged in" says NO we'd have a problem.

For some reason the Clariion cant see that part or talk to it. I guess you registered it manually.

Make sure that the zoning is good. I am sure you would have checked it, then the port and the SFP and the cable , switch ports etc.

Hi Andre Leite Sheron

Alias and zones are ok and zones are activated.

I checked the ports ,SFP and cables they are working well.

The host is logged in on the switches.

Just to try something less disruptive, i would try to disable the port where the array is connected and re-enable it first, but also take note of the sfpshow for the port before and after the reboot.

I've just remember that I've got something like that, where everything was fine but wasn't working properly, so its was the switches, after reboot the fc Switches everything was back to normal. Have you tried to reboot the switch?

Not sure if my firmware was 7.1.0c or 7.1.1c...

Beats me, n hope that it aint the port issue. I would swap the cables/port to confirm it is not a port issue.

Get a case opened with EMC Clariion support and provide them the SP-Collects.

They would ask all these questions but will be able to see any port failures. For some reason I think it aint a physical port issue, instead it could be some logical path issue.

It would be awesome if you could share how they resolved it so I can know what I missed.

Regards,

Sheron Godfred

Hi,

Is it specific to only one host or all the hosts are showing as logged in "No".

If it's only one particular host, reboot the host (if possible) and see if the ports logged in back.

If still fails, you can open SR with EMC support team to look in to more detail.
