EMC CX4-240 Storage Array Faulted during periodic SPS test

Hi,

We have storage faulted alarms on CustDB EMC storage CX4-240, this alarms will occur during SPS periodic test every Sunday 8am. But the alarm will cleared in a few minutes.

Does this mean we really have a possibility of faulted storage? or this is normal?

How can we change the schedule of SPS periodic test, say to a non-peak hours? and how to do this?

These errors are expected as per CLARiiON design and SPS Battery Testing Process. As a system health check, the CLARiiON storage system is programmed run a weekly SPS (battery) test.  This will verify the status of the battery and verify it is still holding a charge.. The same is explained in detail as part of KB Article emc95479 :How to verify whether a weekly SPS (battery test) is faulted or not

During the test, the SPS goes faulty for a short time and charges up. This causes the alerts to be sent and is normal only in my understanding.

SPS test happens on Sunday night by default. You may change the time from Navisphere/Unisphere console (from navisphere right click on SPS in the hardware tree and select 'set test time' or from Unisphere select SPS from hardware and click on 'set test time').
