EMC CX3 to VNX 5500 migration options ?
Hi,
I've got my Old CX3 that I'd like to decommision as I cannot expand it bigger with moreDAE, it runs at 90% full disk capacityso my company bought VNX 5500 now I wonder what is the easiest way to migrate the LUNs and its RAID group seamlessly ?
What are my options and choice ?

it's not the only way and there will be downtime. You can look at tools like PowerPath migration Enabler, that tool truly does not require any downtime but it does use CPU cycle on your host. You can always look at native host based tools like LVM mirroring.
With SanCopy there will be downtime for the final cut-over process.

Many thanks for the response man, so in this case SANCopy is the only way to go that is supported without downtime to the production system ?

incremental SanCopy, drop zones to CX3 , put in zoned to VNX and bring the system online.

it's not VNX specific, when you did any Clariion SanCopy migrations you would need go through the same process.

I see. I have very little knowledge about VNX but I shall read the document soon.
