Do we need to consider "Striping / Concatenation" when we expand LUN in Storage Pool ?
Hi,
We are using CX4-240.
When we expand a LUN in RAID Group, we have to choose the method of Expansion - Striping / Concatenation.
If the LUN is created in a Storage Pool, Unisphere only asks us to give the "New User Capacity". Does it mean that we need to care which method the LUN is expanded in Storage Pool ? Does a MetaLUN is created when we expand a LUN in Storage Pool ?
Thanks

Also. see the attached White Paper for metaLUN. MetaLUN are different from Pools. When you expand a Pool, you add new disks into the Pool. When you expand a Raid Group LUN, you use metaLUNs. Raid Groups and Pool are two different types of container for LUNs. Raid Groups provide more control over performance (usually provides the best performance) and Pools provide ease-of-use.
