CX4 Flare version/Solutions Enabler compatibility

Is there a place where you can find the compatibility between Flare version and Solutions Enabler/NavCLI software. I have tried going through the EMC documentation I can find but a root canal would be less painful.

CX4 is running Flare version 4.30.000.5.524

Using Solutions Enabler version 8.0.3

did you try to downgrade Solutions Enabler, in the guide you linked to they are using 7.2

can you point me to the document that explains Commvault / solutions enabler integration. I am curious why they want solutions enabler and not naviseccli or admsnap.

Trying to run snaps via intellisnap feature in Commvault and keep getting an error: Failed to get device number from device UUID.

I have been over the entire setup with Commvault several times but haven't found anything that looks wrong or out of place.

solutions enabler is not used to mangae Clariion/VNX. There are just a few commands in Solutions Enabler that allow you to retrieve data from Clariion/VNX. What are you trying to do?

one way to verify that the steps in the guide were completed successfully is to run this command:

symdev list -cid

The requested feature is not supported for this microcode or SYMAPI version

that is what that command comes back with on both the proxy and client involved in this snap scenario

I could only find 7.4 as the oldest. Apparently I should have removed the db created when I ran the symcfg commands in the other version because it won't let me run them or modify that database now

7.4 did not work ?  I have 7.2 for Win x86 and x64 if you want it.  At this point 7.2 is 4 years old.

I was able to get it to work. I had to reinstall 8.0, run a symcfg remove, then uninstall it and install 7.4.  I have made progress on the issue as it now looks like I can at least talk to the array. Heard back from storage guy and tested again and it is now working.
