CX4-240
Hello,
I have a cx4-240 that initially was setup with one bus (0) with 2 additional arrays. When the array was moved / relocated, it did not get the proper cleanup to remove the array 01 and 02, now I am not able to remove them from the configuration since it had a Pool that was created with 40 drives, 10 from the DPE and 15 each from the other to DEAs.
Question:
Is there away to get in to the database file of the array to remove the pool and the luns associated with?
Thanks,

You want to remove/delete the storage pool which is present and that is not in use ?
You can delete the LUNs (data will be lost..! ) after removing them from the storage groups , and then delete the pool without any issue.

Did you mean disk enclosures ( DAEs) by array ?
You should try removing the LUNs from the storage groups first. Then try deleting LUNs and Storage Groups. If the DAE's are missing, it may be giving error.

already did, but it does not go way. The bad part is the the first 2 enclosure slots are not usable anymore since we cannot delete the pool/luns. Any new enclosure we attach it shows as empty or removed.

it's the storage pool and the private luns that I am trying to delete but it's looking for the 2 missing arrays that are not there anymore.

the luns are there but the actual array is not present

As the DAE is missing, I believe it will give error. Have you tried deleting LUNs alone ? Ensure the LUNs are not part of any storage group or any replication groups etc..
Post a snap if possible.

yes we have, since the DAEs are missing the LUNs do not go away and still
getting the Fault on the DAEs. The bad part is that we con not use the
slots for the DAEs since we cannot clear the LUNs and the Storage pool.
Thanks,

Have you tried rebooting the Storage Processors?
Also, if the two DAE's that you removed were, for example, 0 and 1, you could try configuring any new DAE's as 2 and higher.
Also, there is an engineering process for resetting an array to factory default - that cleans ALL configuration information off the array - ALL LUNS and any other configurations you have.

if we did not have 16 enclosures that will work but it will take away 2
slots that we will not be able to use. basically I am looking for how to
set it to factory default, do you know how?
Thanks,

I did some research on this - there is an engineering method that could be used to unbind the specific LUNs, not the whole configuration as I earlier had though, but that is only available through EMC.
