Hi Saravana,

May I know if you want to add new FC I/O module to the array or replace the I/O module…?

In Clariion there is no way to "enable" only the front end ports separately. Please ensure that the servers HBAs are initilized and working correctly. I would also like to know that is Zoning involved in your enviorment? If yes then the status of the switch needs to be checked. The FE ports become enabled when you have something connected and able to send the FC login to the array to ensure that the ports are initialized and are working correctly. Check the lights on the back of the HBA and the back of the array - if its green you have have some level of connection.

Hi,

We didn't connect any host to the Array, the storage box is now ideale only but normally we can able to see the Green indicator light in I/O Module at storage box, in this case there is no light (Green & Blue) in storage box.

As you mentioned, This is a new and idle array and there is no host connected. I believe this is a normal, I expect the LEDs to get lit when a cable from SP Port is connected to a switch, or to a host that has it's HBA driver installed and running. Otherwise, the cable connection LED will be off.

I believe if nothing is connected to the array, you should see below output in SP Collects:

SP Port Information
SP Port WWN Status Switch? HBA Fan-Out iSCSI Information
Link Port Logged In Registered IP Address Subnet Mask Gateway Authentication
A 0 WWN Down DISABLED NO 0 0
A 1 WWN Down DISABLED NO 0 0
B 0 WWN Down DISABLED NO 0 0
B 1 WWN Down DISABLED NO 0 0

If not, could you please share SP Port information?
