Best way to add disk space for 2 years only ?
Hi,
We are running CX4 and we are running out of disk space.
We would like to add a DAE with FC disks. We get a very aggressive quote on refurished DAE and FC Disks. However, another vendor says that by adding those stuff in our CX4 Storage Array will void the warranty from EMC (It is understandable).
Since we have to migrate to VNX in 2 years time and the new DAE / FC disks (CX4) cannot be redeployed in VNX, we would like to seek your advice what is the best way for us to handle this issue ?

a lot of times you can buy hardware from 3rd party vendors who are also authorized EMC support partners so they could provide service for your array on per incident basis (instead of paying for yearly contracts).
Better yet work with your EMC team to get you a new VNX and give you credit on your old CX4.
