AX150sci Faulted Disk
I have a faulted disk on an AX150sci that has an beeping noise. When I login to the Navisphere Express to check on the disk, I do not see any option to turn the noise off. The hard drive went bad and has been removed. The Hot Spare is working. Any help would greatly be appreciated.
Thanks,
Greg

I think you will be able to do that from the navi cli command and not from the gui but I don't know the full command.
I am also sure if you will replace the disk with a good one it will also stop it. if you are under EMC warranty or other support than I'm sure they will replace the disk for you but if not I would recommend checking PrimeNetuk.com help as they can source a replacement disk or use one of your available hot spare (not the one that kicked in) instead of the faulty disk and destroy the hot spare disk (so the system wont think you have a faulty disk at the hot spare location).

dont use a hot spare that is in used!!
you need to take a hot spare that is not in used.
As I said earlier I strongly recommend you to buy a replacement disk so hot spare can copy back its content to the replacement disk.

If copy to hot spare is done then what happens when you remove the drive from the slot?
