AX150i ESXi 5.1 ESXi Config Issues
Hi All,
We've recently reconfigured an AX150i (running 02.20.150.5.024 FLARE-OE) in hopes to expose it to an ESXi server for backup repository space. I was able to add a software initiator on the vSphere server, create separate vswitches and vmkernel networks for 2 nics (seperate subnets, separate vswitches) and successfully bind them. I have the SP port A-0 directly connected to a specific vmkernel NIC1, and SP B-0 connected directly to vmkernel NIC2.
I am able to get A-0 connected as a either static / auto discovery by having it on the same subnet as the SP Port A-0 and it shows active and I was able to register my server / see exposed LUN0. I can see the single path that exists in VMware and can access the storage.
If I attempt to add the second path (separate subnet), I can't get the AX150i to register the path at all, regardless if i remove the A-0 path entirely, it will never list as "active" in Navisphere and the vmware path will stay "unused". I've confirmed that SP Port B-0 and vmkernel NIC2 are on the same subnet (different than the A-0 subnet) and have them directly attached.
I'm a bit green with ISCSI configurations in general so feel free to assume it may be incorrectly configured, am I missing something big or is this a limitation? I did read that the SAN is active/passive, but I cant seem to get the 2nd path to ever come up. Should I have this configured through a switch rather than directly attached?
Any help is appreciated.

According to VMware HCL, AX150 supports ESX 3.5 U5 only, maybe that's why you can only find single path in vCenter.
