about the file and unified system install
hi everyone !
my friend hava a cx3-40 without nas , Simultaneously it's without the system disk ,my friend buy it from amazon , someone Eliminated it.my friend ask me about how to install the system and use it .I am a tiro, as far as i know, the file system（control station ） can fresh install with something like emcnas7.1.XX_EI_DVD.iso，but it not apply to the block , so i'm confused, i know the block have the recovery install ,it apply to the system disk on the system slot yet ,not apply me,it's someone can help me ?

You need help from EMC or EMC certified partner to get 5 new system disks (vault disks) and re-image the system.
The operation guide can be generated by CPG (CLARiiON Procedure Generator). Only EMC engineers and service partners can download this tool from support center (support.emc.com).

This has been asked many times on ECN and has ended up no where!
I do not want to discourage you but as well I do not want to give you a false hope. These types of investments are bad investments. The time and money you will spend to get this fixed at the end you will realise that from that amount you could have bought entry level SAN.
IMO,do not blindly buy the disks, these type of pre-owned devices comes with a high maintenance. Do the math and buy something working.

thanks ,i konws this way,now i want to solve it without the 5 new system disks (vault disks),if i can instead of it with 5 new disk ?
i had read the boot imiage recovery ways! if otherone have a good ideal ?

Any CX3 supported FC disks are Ok for system (vault) disks. You can find the supported disks' part numbers from EMC Parts Compatibility Database: https://alliance.emc.com/PCDPartners/pl.asp
But still, you need to contact EMC or EMC partner for such request.
