Hello MPhiMCP-DC,
I think try to simple things first of all locate the SD card slot on your Chromebook and Gently insert the SD card into the SD card slot until it clicks into place. On your Chromebook, click on the time in the bottom-right corner of the screen to open the system tray. In the system tray, click on the gear icon to open the Settings menu. In the Settings menu, scroll down and click on "Storage" or "Device" to access storage settings. Under the "Storage" section, you should see the SD card listed. Click on the SD card to open its contents. The Files app will open, displaying the contents of your SD card. From here, you can view, copy, or move files to and from the SD card.
It may be help you.
Thanks for that.

Dear Chromebook 3120 User,
Thank you for reaching out to inquire about accessing the inserted SD card in your device. We understand your need for guidance in locating the pathway to access your Sandisk 64GB Ultra Plus SD card.
To access the SD card on your Chromebook 3120, please follow these steps:
Insert the SD card into the SD card slot on your Chromebook. The slot is usually located on the side of the device or on the front edge, depending on the model.
Once the SD card is inserted, click on the clock in the bottom-right corner of your screen. This will open the system menu.
In the system menu, click on the gear icon labeled "Settings" to open the Chromebook settings.
In the Settings menu, scroll down and click on the "Device" section.
Within the Device section, locate and click on the "Storage Management" option.
On the Storage Management page, you should see the SD card listed under the "Removable" section. Click on the SD card to access its contents.
A file manager window will open, allowing you to browse and manage the files on your SD card.
You can now copy, move, or delete files on your SD card using the file manager. Additionally, you can open files directly from the SD card or save files to the SD card from various applications on your Chromebook.
If you encounter any difficulties or the SD card does not appear in the Storage Management section, please ensure that the SD card is properly inserted into the slot. You may also try restarting your Chromebook and repeating the steps.
