If there's no sign of power at all, it's time for the recycling bin. This system has passed its end of life date so it no longer receives new updates.

Hi
ChomeBooks have/need 15 volts. The chargers generally supply 5 volts, until the connection requests a Higher than the 5 volts.
The chip(s) inside are generally hard to get and are hard soldered onto the main board.
I got an ASUS with the same problem, and pushed a 12 volt supply straight at it and NADA.
Unfortunately I suggest it is workshop salvage.

Hi @mrjeffz9380, since you've already confirmed the charger works and tried a hard reset, the next step would be a deeper hardware check. Try this: unplug the charger, hold the power button for 30 seconds, then plug it back in and try turning it on. Also, connect the charger and look closely for any faint screen backlight or fan noise — if there's any sign of life, the issue could be display-related. If still completely dead, the problem may lie in the motherboard or power circuit. In that case, contacting Dell support or visiting a certified technician would be your best next step.

Try using a different AC adapter with the same voltage to see if the issue persists—this will help you determine whether the original charger is faulty. If the problem continues, you can then move on to checking the device's hardware.
