Hi

You can enable the built‑in Linux (Crostini) environment inside ChromeOS on supported models to run many Linux apps while still keeping ChromeOS.

With firmware tweaks (e.g., using the MrChromebox script and disabling write‑protection) you can replace ChromeOS and install a full Linux distro directly on the device, though this is an advanced, unofficial procedure.

Windows 10 can be installed only on specific Intel‑based 3100 variants (e.g., with Intel N4020), and it does not work on ARM‑based 3100 models; Windows 11 is generally not feasible due to storage and hardware limits.

Surely a PowerWash will scrub your machine clean?
